Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (SSE). This position will be a combination Technical Project Manager interfacing with a variety of internal and external organizations to track, monitor, and control an important, multi-year technology upgrade project. The SSE’s duties will include working closely with the government team lead for the project, as well as cross-organization coordination to ensure all parties are aware of current status, project requirements (and changes), schedule, etc. The SSE will chair weekly and bi-weekly internal and cross-organization status meetings, review boards. The SSE’s proficiency with Excel is a must. This person will also be responsible for evaluating team efficiency and making process improvement recommendations to the customer.

Candidates should have the following qualifications: 

• TS/SCI with full scope polygraph is required.   
• Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Candidates are required to have the following skills:

• The ideal candidate will have a background including systems engineering and integration.
• Some configuration management and requirements management, and most importantly technical project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
