Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SWE) to support mission critical application and web service development in support of an Identity and Access Management (IdAM) solution. The SWE will have technical responsibilities that include support for software design, development, integration, test, and operational maintenance. The SWE will development may include integration with external sources for authoritative Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) Web Services and tools. The position is best suited for a full stack development candidate to primarily develop back end/middleware solutions and capable of maintaining a modern JavaScript frontend.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Eight (8) years of Software Engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
- An additional four (4) years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of twelve (12) years.
- Three (3) years of work experience in SIGINT, IA, or IT domains
- TS/SCI with poly is required.
- Experience with/Knowledge of:
- PostgreSQL (RDBMS), knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL document-oriented databases
- Java/JEE programming building robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications
- Developing and hosting software on Linux (CentOS/RHEL) platforms including virtual (such as VCenter or AWS)
- Commercial middleware platforms/Application Servers (e.g. JBoss, Tomcat)
- REST API technologies such as Feign and Swagger UI
- PKI encryption and authentication
- Hardening web applications for production
- Implementing role-based application access for users (Greybox in development)
- Containerization (such as Docker)
- Spring Boot Stack, JPA/Hibernate, Security
- Modern JavaScript (such as Vue.js, React, Angular)
- Version Control (GIT or similar)
- Ticketing systems (JIRA or similar)
- Docker Containers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts as well as process documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Requires minimum supervision to meet deadlines.
